Up for sale is a Vintage, Classic Motorcycle, the 1979 KZ1000 MKII (2) A3A Luminous Dark Red. Kawasaki built this model for two years 1979 and 1980 but only the 1979 carries the MKII badge on the side cover. (History)This motorcycle is 34 years old. I believe I am 4th owner of this motorcycle but I am not completely sure. This motorcycle has been owned by me since 2006. The motorcycle is not stock but could be changed back if so desired. It does have some aftermarket parts I will list.
 
It has upgraded coils, Dyna 3 Electronic Ignition, Carbs have been rejetted, Air Pods, to handle the Bassani Superbike Competition Exhaust. Brakes are in good shape.(lot"s of pad). GT 501 Dunlop tires (60%) Glass Mat Battery just over 1 year old (cranks great). The motorcycle starts, runs and shifts very well. It"s cold blooded but once warmed up it responds very well (typical).
 
The motorcycle"s hieght has been lowered with 2in lowering blocks in the back and 1.5 in in the front. It can be put back to stock hieght. ( I like it low) The foam in the seat has been cut down and profesionally recovered (looks and feels great). Grand Prix handelbars, custom grips. Smaller aluminum duel eliment running lights/blinkers. LTD front fender, Shorty Chrome chain guard. Chrome gauge covers. The mileage is unknown because when I purchased the bike it a KZ650 140 mph speedo on it(wrong). I recently put the 160 mph speedo on it(right) which reads 74,452 miles. This mileage is not correct for this motorcycle. I would estimate the mileage around 35,000 but that is just a geuss. I really don"t know for sure.
 
The condition of paint and chrome, looks pretty good. Small imperfections, light scratches,a chip. No dents to the tank, there is some bubbling behind the tank badges, (quite commom with this motorcycle) and a broken bottom tab on the right side cover that has since been repaired (solid). I have tried accurately to describe the condition of this motorcycle as I know it to be. I have a clear title in hand. Purchaser will need to arrange their own pickup of this motorcycle. Please read the description carefully and look closely at the photo"s to make sure you want it before you bid on it. I will release the motorcycle once payment is cleared. Thank you.
