Here for sale is a very clean example of the BMW R1100RS sport tourer.  It is hard to believe this bike is 21 years old - the paintwork is very glossy and the engine gearbox and swingarm finish is also very good. Not in the photos but the hard panniers come with the bike and are in very good condition. There are two folders of paperwork with the bike - all mots, several bills, owners handbook, brochures etc. This and the general condition of the bike shows that it has always been well cared for. Tyres  (Bridgestones), brakes etc all good. The bike starts instantly, idles evenly and pulls like a train.There only marks on the paintwork are on the edges of the fairing by the indicators - looks like it was grazed lightly against a garage wall at some time. These could be touched in easily and would be barely noticeable.  There are one or two marks on the silver engine paint and some small scuffs on the bottom of the RH rocker cover. None of this is major and the bike presents as a lovely example.The brakes are superb although the ABS sometimes does not join the party. I am not familiar with these bikes but to me there is some gear whine. This may be normal for the type and I have listened to some on You Tube and they sound similar to mine but I thought it only fair to mention it. Having said that the bike rides as it should and the gearchange is smooth. I changed the engine and gearbox oil when I bought the bike and the gearbox oil that came out was fine.I was hoping to tour on the bike with my partner but having tried it she has decided being a pillion on a motorcycle is not for her - hence the sale. The mot has expired but if it goes for the buy it now (or close to it) it will have a new mot.Requests for more info and photos are welcome, as are viewings.
